Fixed the driveability issues, occasional idle stumble. When I pulled the original with only 115k miles, it was heavily carboned up. While it is possible to clean and replace these, as cheap as they are there is no point. If you are having stumbling and rough idle issues particularly in the older Jeeps and Chryslers, this may do the trick for you, and only takes about 10 minutes to replace. I did not even have to remove the airbox, so simple R and R.

Let me tell you a story, about one year ago my 1998 Jeep Cherokee had troubles starting and staying running in idle. My first impulse was 'Idle Air Controller' so I bought a (in compare to this one) expensive one ... it didn't fix the problem. So I went on to slowly replacing ALL sensors on the engine .. still bad starting ... bad cold idle. Then I saw this one very reasonably priced one and figured ... 'oh well let's try again' ... and to my surprise ... IT WORKS!!! like a charm, I am very happy now :)

After installating this device, my engine's computer and this IAC motor had to adjust to each other. The RPMs took a few seconds to drop back down to idle after revving up the engine. Driving it around for about 15 minutes it seemed to act correctly and I did not experience this issue anymore. It comes with the seal and is easy to install. So far it is doing well.

Bought it for a 1999 GC. Perfect fir. 3 months ago. So far so good. Great price.

If you've noticed, there is big money to be saved by buying parts here. This was less than 25% of the cost at my local parts store. It looked identical to the last one the prior owner of my Jeep used, and saved me a lot of money. It works just fine, solved the problem. It would be great if it came with new bolts.

I got this in June it is now October and that’s how long it lasted I mean for $12 ig u can’t complain but didn’t last too long. So up to you if u just need a quick fix for now and just wanna get it and not spend a lot go for it!

Installed to replace an OEM unit. The connecting wire fitting would not go far enough onto the sender to lock it into place. Pulled new ICM back off and compared it to OEM unit. The entire item looks like it was made in some ancient worn out tool mold. Some of the alignment tongues were over a millimeter wider, the body was longer, the plastic in the keyway was another half again thicker than the OEM. I worked on it with a diamond file for over an hour and still could not make it lock in with the stock wiring. With QC like this I would totally avoid purchasing any products from TAMKKEN. Amazon should boot these people right out of it's system.

A very bad product, I do not recommend buying it, it has been broken since the first week
