Perfect indoor playpen for tiny, feral kittens!
*Originally a FB post because people were asking about my rescue kitten habitat* *Cat people post* I've been getting questions about the kitten habitat. It's from Amazon, as is the cat tree. They are not a set, and while you don't have to assemble the pen (it collapses, so you just pull it up and lock it into place), you do have to assemble the tree inside the pen, since the top is not open. Luckily, the doors are wide enough that I was able to assemble it in stages and fit it through. It does require some flexibility to then kind of fit yourself through the door enough to connect things inside. Just make sure you measure the tree so it fits in there and allows room for a litter box and feeding station. The pen came with shelves wide enough for beds, ladders to connect the shelves, and wheels, in addition to the hammock. I just felt it would be sturdier without the wheels, and the tree seemed safer than shelves for such a tiny thing. I may add those once she is a bit bigger. There is a large door at the bottom on one side, so it's easy to tend the litter box from there. She is very brave now and climbs the walls to jump on the tree, and is all over the place at a high rate of speed, and everything holds up well. There is definitely enough room for multiple kittens, so Peggy will be joining her this week until she is acclimated and they are both a bit bigger. I did toss a sheet over the back and sides to make it cozier. The dogs smash their faces right up against it to watch Vera and let her bat them with her paws, and it doesn't cave in. I did add a string of battery operated fairy lights, and she seems to like those. Oh, and a camera for mornings I have to be in the office, just so I can keep an eye on things. Love the playpen!

Excellent small foldaway crate
This small cat cage was chosen to fit a specific area while we have company so it is smaller than I would like but is suited to the circumstances and can contain our guard cat. Pros: 1) Small- easy to stow folded and take in a car or set up in a RV or hotel. 2) Excellent emergency cage that can be set up in a small space. 3) Sets up fairly easily though you need to test out the ideal place to put the ledges and ladders for your cat. 4) Has room for a litter pan with easy access from the side door. 5) Hammock- Nice idea to show what is possible. ok for small kittens and ferrets maybe? Suggest a heavier duty hammock for cats. 6) Bottom pan slides out easily for cleaning. Con: 1) Small- not suited to more than one large cat or a few of kittens. 2) It is heavy for out of shape or elderly (but anything lighter wouldn’t be safe for containing your cat) 3) The wire ladder and ledges could be a hazard for kitten legs and the big cats don’t appreciate them either so you will need to cover them or if you weave in sisal rope you have a built in cat scratcher and make it safe for cat toes and kitten legs. 4) The hammock. Forget it. The clips are flimsy and break easily and the stitching is not secure enough for the safety of anything over two pounds! So maybe one sedate ferret or small kitten. The fabric is nice and you might consider re using it for a hammock with new corner tabs and solid hardware. Or use it to cover a ledge where the clips and fabric don’t take the full weight of the cat. But don’t risk your animal’s safety to it without checking it frequently and fixing its deficits. 5) If this cage is knocked over and the bottom pan falls inward the animal can escape through large gaps in the bottom wire. If this is a concern you will need to modify with additional wire over the bottom of the cage.

Almost perfect
"Ease of foldability" 😂 First thing to know, if you don't have patience this is NOT "easy" to put together. It's a PITA...after several times of taking it down and putting it up it may be...pay attention to what it says in the directions about the SIDES. BFFI for you grunts out there... Sturdy...size is perfect for ONE LARGE CAT...In my opinion... Hammock is well made, keep an eye on connectors though...they look cheap. Also be AWARE of SHARP EDGES on "cage"...some of them will more than likely need to be roughened up a bit...(That's what she said)... Eh, was 4 stars ..I'm going to give it a 5 for the price and the quality. It really IS a great deal. Pic 1 taken by door to see size of cage and cat. Pic 2 Ivan my large cat

Easy to assemble, affordable and portable
Long story short, we ended up a multi cat house. 7 out of 9 are feral rescues. We also have 2 amazing Boxers pups. The crate (it is our third crate) is a great “get away” place that allow cats being unbothered. Shelves are rather narrow, but it works. Cats weren’t big fans of ramps, so I left only one in for smallest kittens to get to the top. Included hammocks, if you have sawing machine, do cats a favor and reinforce them with an additional ties. The original clamps are not able to handle energetic kittens or big 10 lb plus kitties. i know it from experience. I use ties as a primary support for hammocks. Assembly was straight forward and with cats help, I got it up in less than an hour. Shelves and ramps were lined with self adhesive scratch fabric. Bottom level fit a good size foldable cat house, which provided additional beds and hiding areas. On Two out of three crates, I decided not to put wheels on. This one on wheels and very easy to take outside for kitties to enjoy the sun. Also serves as a feeding “station” where dogs cannot get to cats’ food. Overall, I do recommend this crate.

Sturdy and easy to set up
Served its purpose for quarantining two 5-6 month old kittens with ringworm. They were about 5lbs each and had no problem in there for about 3.5 weeks with daily playime. I think that was the upper limit for them though. We had to put in towels and cushions for comfort. It was also large enough for 1 litter box tray and 1 bowl of water. Great, sturdy and easy to set up and move around. Harder to take down though since everything gets locked into each other. Our cats are now 8lbs each and I would definitely not keep them in this cage together for long. Would recommend for smaller cats or 1 cat.
