This product is not calcium carbide because if water is poured on calcium carbide, Acetylene gas is formed but nothing like this happens with this product so, If there was an option of zero rating then I would have given zero rating to this product.

Wrost Experience
I purchased the "Industrial-Grade Calcium Carbide for Acetylene Gas Generation - Reliable Chemical Reactant 75% CAS. No. 75-20-7 (400 Gram)" with the expectation that it would generate acetylene gas efficiently. Unfortunately, it failed to produce any significant gas, which was very disappointing. The product did not perform as advertised, and I am highly dissatisfied with the purchase. I would not recommend this product to anyone looking for reliable calcium carbide for acetylene generation.

Pieces are too big
The pieces are too big to be used in the Calcium Carbide cannon...not effective as it should be.
