When it comes to safety and respirators I will not mess around with saving a few bucks on an off brand. Get the 3M as you can be sure that it is made to the highest quality standards and have been tested to perform, why take a risk with your health. This is a good combination cartridge that lasts a long time. P100 for the highest particulate filtration along with organic vapor and acid gas this is a good general purpose filter that should be sufficient for most uses.

Great brand and products all around. These ventilator filters were perfect for cleaning out my musty shed and attic. They are the only filters I trust when working in areas when air quality is questionable.

Can't say I've tried them all but from what I have, there is no better respirator and filter combo than this for general woodworking needs. Comfortable and as little glasses fog as is possible (will never be completely fogless). Only deducting one star because the lower strap can wear on the neck a little after prolonged use. The combo filter is awesome too. Keeps even the finest wood dust particles out and completely blocks out strong odors from VOCs when finishing. No need to change filters for different tasks, which can be a big pain if you are one who jumps from task to task in a seemingly aimless pattern like myself. One of the best investments I've made for my shop. No more going to sleep with sinus headaches from all of the dust that seeped into the old paper mask.

I got those cartridges because I am working in an "inherited" shop... slowly cleaning it up. Besides tons of sawdust it also contains plenty of containers with questionable content - all need to be opened and checked and disposed of. With those cartridges I do not have problem with dust (I use them on 7500 series respirator), nor I have problems with most chemical smells (to be precise - I did not smell anything yet, but this does not mean it covers everything). Even after hours in the shop I feel like I inhale only clean and fresh air. I have separate P-100 filters for saw dust that were not enough in my case. However if you have just sawdust problem... go ahead and use the P-100 filters instead. They are pretty light and comfortable to wear. They do not weight the respirator down and are usable for hours. Connection to the respirator is simple but sturdy. Nothing to complain... and highly recommended.
