Love the fact that this safety chain is very fine, appears to be well made, and barely visible when wearing the bracelet. However, the opening on the spring ring is very tiny, so if you're attaching it to a bracelet with thick links, you may need to add an extra link to get this to work. I got the 2" size so the bracelet fits over my (large) hand without have to unclasp this chain when taking the bracelet off or on. Perfect! Exactly what I wanted!

This small and inexpensive bracelet safety chain serves two great functions. The bracelet latches are so delicate they can easily be broken. When used as indicated in the photo this will prevent losing what could be an expensive bracelet. Another great use of this is if a bracelet is just a little bit too small this can make it fit on a wrist just right. Don't waist your jewelry just sit in a box unused because it doesn't fit. My wife has a heirloom bracelet, this is the best money spent to make sure she keeps it to pass it down.

If you are going to use this as a safety chain for a bracelet, order at least 2.5 or 3 inch chain. Otherwise, you will have to unlatch it to get it over your wrist. Also, the clasp is small, so make sure you have a place to easily attach it. The opening in the spring ring is small. The nice thing is that the chain is small small which means that it is hardly noticeable when attached to to bracelet.

complete trash. definitely not stainless steel. broke within days of me having them. i bought 2 for 2 diff bracelets.

I bought this as a safety chain and it works great - I have several fine jewelry bracelets that I worry about slipping off because I have very small wrists. This chain is great for that - it's sterling, so it matches many in color and doesn't look cheap with a fine jewelry bracelet. Although I don't need it as an extender, it is good quality and would clearly work well for such purposes. Great buy - will probably buy extras.

I ordered this to use as a safety chain for a silver bracelet, but the clasps are very small and would not open far enough to attach to my bracelet. I’m sure it would work fine on a necklace as an extender.

Exactly what I was looking for. I bought a pearl bracelet in China— the clasp makes me a bit nervous. This beautiful little safety chain gives me piece of mind— and I am loving wearing my Tahitian pearls! The chain is delicate enough to still look pretty and the clasps to attach to bracelet are not too small like mentioned in other product reviews. I am ordering a few more to keep on my bracelets. I ordered the 2 inch chain— great size!
