Excellent Squier Strat Upgrade
After reading the thorough previous review I got this for a very nice Squier I recently bought. This Squier is much nicer than most--solid instead of plywood body, quality sealed tuners (not those generic diamond-back-covered cheap tuners you see on most imports), full-thickness body, (not the thinner ones where the tremolo block could stick out), beautiful sunburst, nice big neck and most of all--superb feel and playability. I wanted to see if the sound and feel would improve by replacing the cheap, thin tremolo block with a full-size one. But after finding this item at this price, I decided to buy the entire bridge assembly. The assembly dropped right in and fit PERFECTLY. (make sure you have a guitar with the narrower bridge spacing, not the wider spacing found on American-made Fenders and other guitars.) In fact, the action and intonation were already somewhat roughed in and it took me about 15 minutes to install the new bridge assembly and restring the guitar. (I used the existing bridge mounting screws and tremolo springs...no need to buy those twice when you already have them.) It made a nice improvement. Not an astounding night-and-day improvement--the guitar was perfectly playable before--but there's definitely more sustain, the tone is a little richer and fuller and the guitar feels a little more responsive. Also, I like the look and the "springier" sound of the traditional bent metal saddles as opposed to the stock cast-metal saddles and as the previous reviewer noted, the bridge plate is thicker and of better quality than the stock unit. I would gig with this Squier all day long now and in fact I intend to. At roughly $20 for everything you get and considering it's a genuine Fender part, this item is a steal.

Thanks Leo Fender, 100% recommended.
Impressive! It works and fits perfectly on my '96 Squier, enhancing the harmonics in a natural and crystalline way. If it works well on a Squier, I can assume it will perform much better on an original Fender guitar. Very satisfied with the purchase and I recommend it 100%.

A great upgrade
I stumbled across this as I was searching for a replacement block. Hell, this is pretty inexpensive for a complete trem bridge. When I received it I did a side by side with a Indonesia (IC) Squire Strat bridge and this is what I found: 1) The bridge plate is thicker - IC .097 This - .110 Thicker means more mass to transfer vibrations. 2) The bevel for the hinge area is larger. The IC bridge is beveled to the halfway point of the screw holes. This bridge has the bevel extending well past the screw holes, in fact past the countersink cuts which brings me to 3) The countersinks are larger diameter than the IC's countersinks. That means the bridge is capable of more movement with less restriction, resulting in better tuning and easier return to set after divebombing. 4) Total weight of the bridge is 339 grams. The IC bridge tips the scale at 229 grams. 5) The IC bridge is equipped with the Squire block saddles and the replacement has stamped vintage Fender saddles. The upgrade is very cost effective and to my ears tonally effective. The acoustic (unplugged) sound of the guitar is louder and more sustained. The unplugged sound, I have found, has a significant effect on amplified sound, although some would assert that pickups only capture electromagnetic variations. In conclusion, I am happy with the price and quality. The vendor had it at my door in 4 days. Joyfully I bought another for my 'Crafted in China' Squier Strat. Definitely not a "Sucker" on this purchase. I would like to point out that this bridge is designed for the thicker bodies of the North American guitars. If it is installed in the thinner Asian bodies, you will not be able to use the back cover due to the length of the "big block". That is a little thing compared to the difference in sound. I can live with no cover and naked springs.

Fit my strat perfect

Very good, except the whammy bar hole
All good but I had a hard time to install the whammy bar the first time. It’s a great upgrade compared to my Donner DST-152 stock bridge.

Looks, Feels, and Plays Like New
I’m rebuilding an “old” (2021) Mexican Fender I got a while back and needed a new bridge. Instead of putting an original 2 point tremolo back in it, I plugged and redrilled the holes for this one. I set most of my strats up with floating bridges, and it holds tune as well as my factory six point tremolo guitars. It’s relatively inexpensive and feels just as smooth as my other guitars. Installing is as straightforward as putting a tremolo on could be, just make sure you have a six point bridge, unless you want to plug and redrill like I did.

Great product.. Thanks

The use of same-length saddle height screws ignores the fingerboard radius and often leaves exposed screws on the E strings, reducing comfort. Additionally, the tremolo block shows uneven machining and does not make full contact with the bridge plate, which affects vibration transfer and sustain. Overall, the hardware feels comparable to generic aftermarket options, with pricing that seems justified more by branding than by actual build quality. This feels more like paying for branding than for precision engineering.

Great fit, great sustain, this model need 5 mm whammy bar, most Mexican strats are 6 mm

Good quality original parts . ..... bitch to set up as a Floating Trem, but that is typical of these tremolo's, goes with the territory!! Now that it is set up, it stays in tune.
