I make short films with my phone and I must say that this is a great little lens. I choose the 1.55 version but they also make a 1.33 version as well. Will I had no problem with soft or distorted edges, I know some people hate clip-ons for that very reason. The thing with a clip-on is that lens really needs to make contact with the camera lens. If that doesn't solve your issues then I'd suggest zooming in 1.2-1.75 percent so those edges are out of view. I prefer this over the Ulanzi lens for sure.

This lens attachment really widens the view of your camera. It brings out a cinematic feel. This is made from high quality aluminum and the build is top notch. You can use this lens with the included adaptor or pair it with a USKEYVISION phone case. The included adaptor clip is not your usual spring loaded clip. It is of aluminum design with a screw mechanism to secure it into place. I have never seen an attachment like this before so it is very refreshing. This would make a nice accessory for your phone.

I got this for prime day. The deal was good but lens has a lot of distortion at corners compare to other brands like ulanzi. It is difficult to line up the lens to phone camera (I used iPhone 7 Plus), just seems more trouble than it’s worth. You also get a lot of blue lines from this lens - some might find it desirable.

This lens seems good. Haven't had any issues using it with other 17mm mount phone cages.

Honestly it wasn’t a good product, although it did allow the device to capture more in a photo....it’s also warped the photo. It caused photos to come out in a disoriented away....almost bent if that makes sense. Wouldn’t recommend.

Actually, I bought this to use on a new iPad Mini. Potentially this looked to be a fun combo as it provides a needed occasional changeup. I have long enjoyed anamorphic lenses exclusively for stills through the various iPhones I've owned. I'm new to the iPad Mini and thought I'd give an Anamorphic a try. I'm very happy with the combination.

Used this to create a high quality professionally looking widescreen film results on an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Note that you also need to get some essential de-squeezing software (I used Filmic Pro app which is arguably one of the best and only about £10 from Apple’s App store). I chose to attach the lens to the iphone using a USKEYVISION Phone Lens Attachments Case for iPhone 12 Pro Max with17mm Diameter Thread as the phone attachments provided with this lens are really not that good if you want to create consistently good results. The attachments provided cam easily move out of position and completely ruin any footage taken. Also, to get even better cinematic film results I used a 52 mm variable filter to reduce outdoor lighting sufficiently to create motion blur which you will find makes moving images much less strobe like and therefore much more realistic/pleasant to the eye on screen. As I could not find any filter adapters available for this specific anamorphic lens I took a chance and carefully modified a GoPro Hero 10 (also 9) aluminium alloy ring filter adapter by increasing the hole size just enough across one direction with a metal file. This enabled the filter adapter to fit perfectly (and securely with built in Allan Key clamps) on the lens. (See photos). The combination worked well together and I managed to get all of these components conveniently on the Amazon website.

It seems that it is not really 1.55x anamorphic, it looks distorted even after filter
