Q: Still contain carrageenan as of 2017?

Thanks for your question and concern about carrageenan. To answer your question, NO we are not currently using carrageenan in any Amazing Grass products. There is significant confusion about this ingredient and in particular between the two different types of undergraded (food-grade) vs. degraded (hydrolyzed with acid). Amazing Grass had previously only used an organic compliant, food grade carrageenan that came from a plant-based red seaweed. That being said we have received a number of customer concerns about carrageenan in general and given the confusion we have removed it from any Amazing Grass products including our Kidz SuperFood Chocolate formula.

HI Maria! To your question - no, our Kidz Chocolate SuperFood no longer contains carrageenan. We have received a number of customer concerns along with significant confusion about this ingredient, and we have removed it from our Chocolate formula. All future productions of Kidz Chocolate will use Organic Guar Gum, in place of the organic compliant, food grade carrageenan. Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any further questions. Q: Can you heat it, and drink it like cocoa? Or would heating it destroy the nutrients?

Because it is a "Raw, Live Product" and need to be refrigerated after opening I would like to think that heating it would negate the benefits of the product. I personally would not suggest it.
