We used to use these in our maintenance shop for dirty rags. I bought this one for home use for dirty rags as well. I just don't like putting chemical soaked rags in the trash, and I don't like airing them out in my garage; too much of a fire hazard either way. This waste can is a great place to let the rags dry out before putting them before washing them or putting them in the trash. If the rags were to spontaneously combust, the fire would be contained. Better safe than sorry. Highly Recommended!

I ordered this metal container to use in my small shop to store solvent soiled rags, the container is great and sturdy but it was shipped to me with a big dent on the base, I know amazon shipped it with the dent and charge me for a new product, this container is not cheap (at least not for me) and the least I spect is that it arrives in new condition, I should return it but it's more trouble to return than to keep it at this point, needless to say I'm very disappointed with this order.

This tightly covered can is a must in a studio where oil based paints are used. I love it. The cover snaps tight shut. I no longer worry at night if I don’t empty it out. PS- always wet the rags before putting in can.

Works great for collecting bags of dog poop in the back yard. Used hair dryer to remove the big ugly yellow label. Trail Essential toilet bags works great as inner liner.
