Review: Worked perfectly! - Got a new TCL Roku TV to use as a monitor for my old mac mini. Using HDMI to HDMI, the text looked awful in MacOS. Bought this after doing some research. Thunderbolt (mini displayport) to HDMI and a couple tweaks and now it looks awesome again! This works as advertised.

I've purchased other mini Display Port to HDMI adapters that work but you may have to unplug and re-plug several times before it does., I was being a cheapskate. The StarTech adapter works the first time every time. If you need to add an additional monitor to your iMac via the Thunberbolt 2 port, this is the adapter you need. I have many StarTech products and never had a problem with any of them. So when I needed something I knew would work I bought the StarTech.
