Update: I order this repeatedly, but today I poured out a new bag for breakfast and this random piece of plastic came out with the flakes. I’m not inclined to think this is safe to eat—who knows what this plastic came off of. Very disappointed. Does not inspire confidence in safety and quality. This was such a go-to for me and now I have to find another brand.Exactly as expected. This is the most affordable organic amaranth I can find and I order it in bulk because I have it for breakfast every morning instead of oatmeal. I was hesitant at first because the price seemed too good to be true, but the quality is great. Just add water and microwave for 3 minutes. I also use these flakes to make gluten free crackers—great in combination with a little coconut flour.

It is labeled flakes but what you get is flour. Totally different from the picture . Had I known I was going to get powder rather than flakes I would never have bought the crap. Can't return it even though product description is a lie. Suitable only for the trash.

This is another flaked grain that i feed my 4 conures (1 with scissor beak) that is easy to eat. It can be served cooked, dry or sprinkled on top of fresh chop. My birds love it.

It was a good product. There were pieces of the stem left in it. Which was rather disconcerting.

Transition my family to more nutritious grains. Great substitute for oats.
