Safariland Model 578 7TS GLS Pro-Fit Holster, Glock 17/22/31, Right Hand, STX Plain Black

Fits my Glock 40 gen 4 MOS with Amazon special red dot. Can then also fit my Taurus G3C. All without changing a thing. Will test with hiking for the Glock 40 MOS as it's my bear pistol.Going with belt attachment over paddle. If I was going to be open carrying paddle works great however, again, I'll be hiking and need something more sturdy.Over all, worth the price. I tried some universal Velcro specials and they kind of worked but I didn't trust it if I were in any position but vertical.

INSTRUCTIONS are wordy and yet vague. It is simple enough but it takes you a while of reading to get to that point.They have a QR code to take you to an instructions video, but it just takes you to the main company youtube page, not the actual video.... which I never found.ADJUSTMENTS:There are really only 2 adjustments. Install a shim if your pistol has a slim trigger guard, and a screw that tightens the entire shell, compressing the sides, like a VICE.In my case, I wanted the point where the holster locks with the trigger guard raised UP. Nope.So there is no way to adjust the UP and DOWN play of the pistol, other than to tighten the VICE adjustment, which makes it hard to un-holster and re-holster.It also does NOT have adjustments for the angle of the cant.OPTICBecause I could not raise it up, I had to cut out quite a bit of plastic so my REDDOT would clear. Yes this model is supposed to be optic compatible, but not in my case. If I pressed down hard, sure the slide would move back and it would lock.... but you don't want that.NOW THE GOOD STUFF:Yes, I ordered the G17 version, and NO I do not own a G17. I have my reasons.Glock 19, Taurus G3 and G3C all fit perfectly without any adjustments.A SW Shield EZ 380, also lock in there but it does wobble a round a bit, I did not try to Tighten it with the adjustment screw or the shim though, as it is not designed for that size of gun, just wanted to see if it would.... and it did.LEARNING CURVE:None. It was super simple to hit the unlock and draw the pistol. Literally no thought or effort at all. You just reach for the gun and it comes out.If I was concerned about people trying to pull my gun, I would not count on it. If you just don't want your gun to fall out when you are wrestling sasquatch, then it's good to go.Overall I love it, wish there was a GLS version for pistols with lights.That's about all I have to say about that.

I’ve had a lot of holsters but this is one of the best. I got it for a Glock 17.3. Well it fit that just fine. Also fit a G19 clone with SCT frame and it fit a Canik Mete SFT pro. All lock up and the retention feature works great. Just ordered 3 more, one FDE for daily rotation and one each for my competition rigs.Awesome holster and at a great price!!

Safariland says it’ll fit a P320 and it absolutely does not.

I am big fan of Safariland GLS level 2 concealed carry holsters. I have 2 other Safariland holsters for two other different pistols.The feature I like the most is the Grip Lock System of active retention. The release happens as part of the draw.This one fits the Canik TP9 line as well as other brands and models with similar dimensions. See Safariland site for details.

Ok I want to start by saying I LOVE Safariland holsters! I’ve had a few and need one for the new gen 5 GLock 45 (which is a cross between the G17 lower and the G19 upper) and I asked the question if this holster would work for it and a person said it would so I ran with it and it is NOT for the G45 since it’s a compact slide on a full size frame!!!! So a compact Safariland holster will work not this one just so somebody else dosent run into the same issue! It will lock with the trigger lock but WAY TO MUCH play with the rest so definitely for the bigger glocks!

Safariland has a major winner on their hands with this holster. Canik tp9, Taurus th9, girsan 1911 and Glock 17 are all my full-size pistols and this holster holds them all very very well. I also have the sub compact size version of this Safariland holster for my edc pistols Taurus TH9-C, Taurus G2-C and a Sig P365. This holster fits all 3 like it was made for them. Although it’s not this type, I also have a owb paddle style Safariland holster for my ruger lc9 and have carried it as my at work set up for years now and I love it. It’s still going strong so I have no doubt that quality is top notch with Safariland gear. I wish these holsters were more widely known and on more gun store shelves. Buy it, test it out, break it in and then you will most likely agree.
