does this expand the same as the origional after clamping?

No the original is a different formula that thing will expand a lot. This is wood glue for working with with wood. I didn't notice any of the glue expanding. It stays in the same place when it dries. It gives you about 5 mins of working time before it begins to harden.

i want to glue a wood table to a metal thing & can't use clamps will this work well?

I know this question is older, but for the sake of anyone that looks at it, I'd like to give a more proper answer than the others. No, this is a PVA glue which is specifically made to bond wood by actually soaking into the wood pores and making a joint stronger than the wood itself. It is not meant for anything but that purpose. For wood to non-wood you would ideally use a polyurethane glue like the original Gorilla Glue or Titebond polyurethane glue. On a side note, the poly glue is likely better for anywhere end grain is being glued also.

Can I use this glue for adding fresh concrete to dry one? Or attach 2 dry concrete elements (for sculpture, not heavy duty mansonry work)?

This product is more for bonding wood materials. For concrete it depends on how much you need to use. The Original Gorilla glue will bond concrete but on Amazon it's an add on item and you can probably beat that price at WalMart or a hardware store. Now if you have a big job to do I'd recommend a product called Liquid nails. The draw back to this is the fact that it is applied with a chalk gun which is an added expense and there is a lot of product contained in one tub of it. As it sounds that you only need to use a little here and there I'd stick with the Original Gorilla glue. Lastly you can always visit a local hardware store, tell them what you are trying to accomplish and see what they recommend. Hope this helps.

Is it better to paint the wood with primer before gluing the pieces together or just glue the parts without priming?

the gluing area should be free of paint, oil or dirt and then glue. if you are going to prime , remember white primer for light colors and grey primer for darker colors

An excellent product I have used it in a wide range of temperatures, all types of wood and like it says " WOOD GLUE ". I have not been disappointed in any of the Gorilla Glues and tape. Just a good quality and a fair price. At least in today's world

Using it for my home small wood projects and happy with the performance so far. The bottle nozzle was not working at the beginning but once the inside nozzle was cleaned with water from dried glue, it works perfect now. Nozzle might need to be cleaned if not used for long time (or you can clean it before long time storage). Recommended.

Muy buen pegamento resiste muy bien la humedad lo uso para hacer tablas de picar alimentos y están expuestas ala humedad Se los recomiendo al 100 hice unas tablas de picar hace como 2 años y las pegue con este resistol y aún esta pegadas me sorprende que siempre están mojadas y no se han despegado
