Maybe to dark for use driving at night.
There are a lot of negative reviews for these glasses. I believe that the ones regarding not darkening is because the user was driving. Since most windshields are UV blocking, these glasses will not significantly darken in the vehicle, but definitely get dark enough if you are in direct sunlight. I’m very pleased with them. They are stylish and light. If I had any complaint it would be that they are sonewhat darker naturally than some of the others out there, which may make them unsuitable for use while driving at night, but I haven’t tried them for this yet.

By Golly, These Things Work!
I have been on the search for these glasses for a long time. As an over-the-road driver, I like to use yellow night driving glasses for safety at night. The cheapest ones are worthless, in my opinion. Why? Because they are not usually both "blue-blocker" yellow AND polarized. I like sunglasses for day time driving, and I also have readers for seeing my electronic log screens and pre-trip app on my phone. That now gives me three different sets of glasses to juggle on my dash. When I saw these photochromic glasses advertised I was skeptical, but I took a chance and bought a pair. I've now used them for 2 1/2 months and can report the good, the bad, and the ugly. Good: They do the job adequately. True, you do have to get used to seeing with them. They do darken on those mornings when you are driving into the sunlight and revert to yellow after the sun goes down in the evening. And, that is what you want. Bad: While the polarized yellow is about right for night use, the dark glasses are really not quite dark enough. (It's one of those things you get used to). The frames are a bit cheapy...but, have held up under my use. Ugly: The aforesaid frames are not much in the looks department. So, I am quite content using these glasses as I continue my search for the Holy Grail of transitional sunglasses. What am I looking for? Prescription quality lenses with scratch coating and UV filter, yellow at night and DARK in the daylight, and polarized with bifocal readers all in sleek Ray Ban frames for about 10 bucks.

It takes a while to break them in.
At first I wasn't impressed with the color change but after leaving them on the dash in the sunlight they eventually turned a dark brown and revert to yellow in low light. Exactly what I was hoping for. There is a strange reflection from oncoming vehicles windshields. It must have to do with the light filters.

Not photocromic, no change when exposed to sunlight
I love these glasses, being polarized is essential to cutting the glare particularly at night. The problem is the photocromic feature is not functional, even under prolonged exposure

Not night vision glasses
So I have owned 2 pairs of night vision glasses, these are in no way night vision glasses, light weight, and comfortable yes, but if your buying them for night vision glasses your better off buying a different brand, they change absolutely nothing at night, like real night vision glasses do.. these glasses are better off for light weight basic work glasses, lenses are plastic and yes transparent but never really turn dark like real sunglasses.. basically they would be good for basic safety work glasses, but night vision or real sunglasses, is definitely a NO

Good
For the price we can say that it is a good product it takes a while to change its hue from yellow to dark I guess this is normal at night clearly seen during the day the eyes do not get tired recently I have them add something more in a couple of days I'll see how they work long term so far I can't complain Excellent product considering its value is photochromic as it says in advertising you can not complain excellent product without hesitation I would buy it again darkens the necessary ones, that is, enough and has the glow in yellow tone But that is logical because the glasses are Yellow in essence very good product.

these glasses do get nearly as dark as advertised!
yes they are lightweight and comfortable however...the do not get nearly as dark as the pictures suggest in the advertisement for them on Amazon...therefore I will be returning them I'm getting sick and tired of Amazon allowing these companies who provide false advertising on their site I won't tolerate it anymore and thus, they can pay the return shipping and I will try another company to see if their product is up to what they claim

All they are missing is xray vision capabilities
Still use them they look cool, but the important thing is they do help alot driving at night, glare and stuff, even in daylight makes everything almost seem like hd ,and the longer u use them the more relaxed your eyes really feel, almost like taking a power nap
