OUTAD Folding Camping Stool / Travelchair with Ultra-comfortable Backrest

Tried four of these mini chairs for an upcoming backpack trip. I have other packable folders, including Helinox Chair One style, Swedish Walkstool adjustable height tripod and a full sized Stansport campstool without back. The Chair One style is close to two pounds, more than I want to carry up and down mountains. The Walkstool is nearly as heavy and not nearly as comfy as the Chair One style. The Stansport is doable, reasonable comfort, a height of 13" and weight of about 17 ozs.The four mini stools were all around 10 ozs, this Outad was 14.8. This was the most comfortable I think because it was a smidge higher, and the seat fabric is reinforced with two webbing strips which helps prevent sag. The back does help with comfort, but I don't think it's worth the weight and will remove it prior to my trip. Thus bringing the weight down to less than 10 ozs. Easily done because it is bolted on. The frame seems a high quality aluminum similar to Easton, like quality tent poles are made from. I think that;s why it can bear a lot of weight. I weight more than the maximum stated limit by a considerable amount and can sit without creaking or looseness, no problem. The Stansport OTOH is made from plain old aluminum, fine for what it is but it must be much bigger and heavier to bear the same weight. I see the weak point of this stool as the stainless hinge bolts with locking nuts - they look high quality but are awfully small diameter, maybe 2mm. I may replace them with titanium bicycle bolts.

I am slightly over 5'5 & weigh under 120lbs & this chair is still only big enough for cabbage patch doll or a micro dog, not a human being.

I ordered two of these adorable 8ounce chairs for a camping trip in Central America earlier this year to save on room and weight while packing. I love how small they are and they can actually hold me quite sturdily and I am about 250lbs. Don't let these chairs fool you, they may look like they were made for a toddler, but they are heavy duty. We did break one but I think it was a minor defect that caused that, because our other one has held up perfectly!

This would be great if I was a toddler. For an adult, I would have done fine with just a stool. It's incredibly small. Maybe it should be advertised for a child and not an adult.
