SimplicityWomen's UPF 50+ Wide Brim Braided Straw Sun Hat with Lanyard

I've worn this perfect hat for much of the summer and am sad to put it on the shelf for fall. The only downside is that it isn't rain proof, so water can ruin it. If you're having a bad hair day, you might want a plan B hat, just in case of a sudden shower. All that said..it is the prettiest hat, and I love it! I've gotten many compliments! I love that it has a strap, so no worries about it blowing away. It's light but seems sturdy. Perfect beach hat for sure. Great for sunny days, and can be adjusted for a perfect fit. I sure will miss it, but soon I'll be back into my warm snuggy hats for fall & winter. The price was right and I look forward to wearing it again next year.

I work outdoors and have a small head so most beach hats fly off. It has an adjustable strap inside & chin strap to keep it in place. Super cute & keeps the sun off my face without being too big and floppy. Lots of compliments.

I have used a booney hat for years but I wanted to find something that was more stylish that was still lightweight and practical so I could wear it while hiking, but also have it be cute so I can wear it to the beach or for a day out if I want to protect myself from the sun. This hat is just that! It's super stylish and cute, but also functional. It's not too big but it still offers a lot of sun protection, and the lightweight material and ability to fold it and make it "packable" is a huge bonus so that I can take it on the go anywhere and for any purpose!

Perhaps not during a tornado, but it can hold the hat down pretty well in a beach wind. Hoping it works on board ship but have not used it there yet. Construction is solid and it is attractive. Also has a band tightening feature inside the rim for a snug fit as well. So far I am happy to have a hat that does not blow down the beach every couple minutes.

I ordered the natural color and wore this hat on a parade float for my 20th high school reunion—and it saved me from the blazing July sun! The wide brim kept both my face and neck shaded the whole time. It’s lightweight and breathable, not too stiff, but still feels really durable. There’s a simple thread band inside to adjust the fit, and it stayed comfortably in place even with movement. It also has a lanyard that can be worn in front to help keep the hat from blowing off your head.Hope this helps someone else with deciding on the best sunhat! 😊

Cute hat overall, but when I pulled the piece with the Velcro, the whole piece started to rip. It doesn’t fold very easily and it’s hard to hold it together when you do get it folded. That was disappointing

I was reluctant to purchase this hat because it wasn't available in specific sizes. When I tried it on, the hat was way too big, but the interior adjustment was easy to do. I've been wearing this hat for several months now and the adjustment has held. It's attractive, offers good sun protection, and always stays on in the wind because of its chin-strap. The price is much better than my former sun hat. which I had purchased at a boutique hat store. That hat eventually wore out and would have been twice as expensive to replace.
