Q: How does a plastic cover keep you from losing your meter when they're basically the exact same size?

My daughter loves hers! It’s not plastic. It’s a Gel Skin Cover. It helps her grip the Libre. She was always stressed out because it’s slippery and she had dropped it twice. She hasn’t dropped it since. It also washes nicely with soap and water to keep her device clean. I hope this helps.

Q: Could a clip be added?

I have found several cases that are clips. Please understand that although they are referred to as cases it does not enrobe the entire meter. I purchased a soft case with a clip that can be attached to a belt loop or any other place you choose. I like it very much. The clip is the kind you can buy to hang keys on, etc. So yes you can make a clip work.
