Angela and the Baby Jesus: (Children's Edition)

It is fun to have a NEW Christmas story. This one is sweet & full of innocence. Having read McCourt's book years ago about growing up in poverty, I could understand the central idea of Jesus being cold. Only a child who has been truly cold can understand how distressing it must be for a baby (baby Jesus) to suffer cold. A beautiful story with wonderful pictures. Children will enjoy having it read to them over & over & over again!!

Great Christmas story of Frank McCourts mother Angela from when she was a little girl and wanted to take care of the baby Jesus. My girls liked it.

This is the dearest book. I bought it for myself and a 70 year old friend! Frank McCourt is a wonderful writer and while some children will certainly enjoy it, I think it is a great gift forolder adults.

This is absolutely a darling story and totally appropriate for Christmas time. I bought the book with the idea of starting a new tradition - reading the story at Christmas. It is a nice book that can be left on display for the holidays.

I bought Angela and the Baby Jesus for my three children (ages 2,2 and 4) with the intention of putting it away until they were older. Upon receiving it though, I was captured by the beautiful images on each page and felt compelled to read it to them. The story held the attention of all three girls and they asked for it again and again.The story reads with warmth and humor and is a fabulous addition to any Christmas book collection.

This is a very precious and special book for everyone. It tells the beautiful story of how far a little girl and her brother were willing to go to protect Baby Jesus. It signifies the innocence that so many children lose so earlier in life, and exemplifies the spirit of why we celebrate Jesus's birth. Please give this book to all of the little girls and boys (big girls and boys too) you know to help instill in them the beautiful message that Angela and the Baby Jesus bring.

LOVELY WEE BOOK AND STORY. IT LAID UNDER THE CHRISTMAS TREE AND WILL BE TREASURED FOR YEARS TO COME. WOULD LOVE TO OWN THE MOVIE BUT I DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS RELEASED YET. LOVELY STORY. WOULD MAKE A NICE NEW CHRISTMAS TIME TRADITION TO BE READ TO THE FAMILY. XXX

I enjoyed this book with great pictures. The story is good, but I think my little ones are too young for this story book. I'll keep both copies until they are older and can appreciate the pictures and understand the story.I propose a reading age is suggested in the book description.

I ordered it based on the image - I wanted an exact copy of the one I have. The cover was different to expected so no 100% happy - but in good condition

Book arrived very quickly and we were delighted with it. What a lovely little Christmas story it made us laugh. I bought it for my daughter as I heard the story being read to some young children who said it was their favourite book, My daughter loved it too her name Angela she's my Little Angel even though she's forty Two. lol
