I recently bought a 30 year old Technics midi system and was disappointed that the sound quality was muffled and overpowered by bass. It turns out the tweeters had blown. I replaced them with these and wow, they've breathed new life back into a vintage hifi. To install them I had to cut a small notch into the speaker cabinets to accommodate the connectors which sit quite proud of the rear magnets. I also had to desolder the capacitor which is attached to the positive connector as my speakers have a built in crossover, so it wasn't necessary. Bear in mind that the tweeters are supplied in pairs which isn't clear in the product details. I've ended up with two pairs, but will be using the spare pair to upgrade another pair of vintage speakers.

Wow I just refreshed my old passive speaker cabinets with those tweeters and they sound fantastic. Way better than expected. Heavy and good quality tweeters, absolutely recommend especially for the price.

Performs very well, better than the supper tweeter being replaced in an expensive 4 way Onkyo tower speaker (8 ohms 150 watt). The original supper tweeter blew out in the right tower, and I replace that first so I could compare it to the original Onkyo supper tweeter still good in the left tower. The Pyramid definitely stood out over the original in the other tower, so I went ahead and replaced that one, too. I had to drill the hole slightly larger, so I preferred not to do it if there was no discernible improvement, but there was, so I invested the time and installed both right and left Pyramids. It gave new life and better volume (no doubt the bigger magnets) to the super highs in the 1992 vintage Onkyo towers. Especially to cymbals, triangles, and flutes in classical music. I'm glad the original super tweeter blew out, now. Very pleased at the improvement, and no complaints on the price. PS: The towers have their own crossovers so I snipped off the small crossover that came soldered on the Pyramid terminal, as it was not necessary.

I was surprised how good these sound. I have the tweeters sitting on top a old pair of Realistic Minimus 7s pointing up 6 feet apart and the make a perfect stereo image right in the middle. The clarity and definition is very nice. I am pushing them with signal coming out of my laptop into a tube headphone amp into a 10 watt chinese class D integrated amp . Humble equipment and to make it even more complicated a pair of creative ball speakers the that plug into the computer for power and into the headphone out put . I used a splitter to get the signal into two different systems . The creative ball speakers are like mini sub woofers. I sit right in front of it all with my laptop so i do not not need room filling sound. I might actually put them in cabinets eventually.
