This product contains lead!!!!!! how is that safe?????

Letter from the Company... and I quote the entire letter they sent me after I asked about the LEAD in this product."Hello Bea, Thank you for contacting MacroLife Naturals and your interest in our products. You have come to the right place! Some of our products have to have the Prop 65 warning that you see on the Macro Greens & Miracle Reds. Since this is a California law only we have two different labels, one to sell in California & one that ships out of state. I don't know how familiar you are with Prop 65 (The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986) but it was a VERY poorly written Proposition that was written and passed by a California vote to protect the drinking water that California buys from other states. The Proposition was also to protect lead amounts in children's toys. It unfortunately is so poorly written that is does not account for naturally occurring lead in the worlds soils. Prop 65 applies to all retail products sold in California and since our products are all natural, each ingredient contains the normal naturally occurring amount of lead (it's a trace mineral after all) and when added together is slightly above the Prop 65 level of 0.5mcg per serving. The warning is EVERYWHERE and on many product labels in California including Starbucks, office buildings, restaurants, grocery stores, even Disneyland has it plastered on food menus and signs around the park. Rest assured that our family company is committed to the continued safety of all Macro Life products. The warning has been added to ensure compliance with Proposition 65 so that we can continue serving our valued customers in California. No other state or country requires this statement, only California. The chemical in question is lead, an element that can be found commonly or naturally in soil, plants, and water. MacroLife formulas and products are healthy combinations of vegetables, fruits, berries, herbs, and herbal ingredients grown naturally. MacroLife Naturals does not add any lead to any of its products. The State of California requires a warning for any product sold in California that would result in a consumer ingesting more than 0.5 micrograms of lead in a day. This is an exceedingly low level and 1000 times less than the level of exposure that has been shown by the WHO (World Health Organization) to have no observable effect on humans or animals. As a result, prop-65 law sets an extremely low amount of 0.5mcg level. For example a serving of asparagus contains more than prop-65 allowed levels. Most vegetables, herbs, fruits, and berries contain naturally occurring low levels of lead that when combined add up to slightly more than the threshold of 0.5mcg. Rather than changing our formulas and offering customers in California a sub-par and less effective formula, we chose to abide by the Proposition and place the warning on our products.
