Quick Fix To Adjust Claw Reach
Overall it took me 4 hours and 5 minutes to complete. It would have taken about 1 hour less time if my wife wasn’t distracting me. It took another hour of test driving, fine tuning, and re-adjusting the location of where to fasten one of the long arms. If you follow the initial guidance by the instructions, your claw will never be able to reach low enough to touch the surface. I’ve marked the spot where you should reposition one of the longer parts. This new position will allow your claw to touch the surface. Not sure how it will affect its strength and leverage though. I am sure it does to some degree, so take my advice with some caution.

Nice remote control crane
This is a nice product but not the easiest to put together. You really need to pay very close attention to the diagrams or else it may not operate perfectly and you will need to redo sections. It does operate well when completed correctly.

Would buy again.
Felt compelled to write a review as it did not have many reviews and some of the other reviews had me on the fence as to whether or not to buy. My 8 year old and I loved the experience of building this robot. The instructions are easy to follow (pictures only), you just need to pay attention to detail as far as how each piece is oriented. Battery life has been good - at least 20 minutes of play between charges and it hasn't completely died on us yet - just became more sluggish. The gripper claw has been able to pick up quite a few different items. It's not industrial strength but it's fine for a kid's toy. Maybe I got a good one based on the other reviews, but this one is a 10/10 and would buy again.

Please tell the manufacturer to look at the diagram
The bookers didn’t have sufficient instructions and diagram was not clear enough to understand one particular section of the diagram.

Save your money on this one!
I've done my share of kit building in the last year or so and of all the kits I've completed, this piece of junk is the worst I've encountered. 1, The instructions are vague and, in some cases the colors don't have enough contrast to stand out enough. this requires a magnifying glass. 2. Every screw starts out cross threaded and requires jiggling about to get seated correctly. 3. Upon assembly, holes do not line up correctly so, in four places, when the screw will not engage, I resorted to large toothpicks and crazy glue. 4. The routing instructions for the wiring are again, vague. 5. Only half of the controls work. Usually, I dissemble my models and pass them on the the local kids hospital. This one is bound for the trash heap.

Cool robot, terrible battery and controller
CONS: Battery lasted barely 5 minutes after charging overnight..seems others had the same issue. And, not all buttons work on the controller that are supposed to…can’t move the arm forward, only up and down. It’s a shame because my daughter has been wanting one for years, worked hard on it, and it doesn’t work. Screws are temperamental. They stay in once in, but man a bunch of them took work to get seated in the threading and then needed elbow grease to tighten down. Treads are a bit loose, one came off second time driving it. And this thing is noisy! Like others, might look into different motors. PROS: Solid construction. Glad I went with metal instead of plastic…it’s not going to break easily. Instructions are clear enough for my 10 year old. All pieces were in the kit, just rough getting some screws on is all. OVERALL: if not for the battery and controller issues, this would be a solid first robot for the price. Definitely wouldn’t pay more, and would get this on Black Friday or other sale.

Great function and value
This product has high quality metal parts that fit together well. Directions had enough detail to show part orientation if you pay close attention. Hardware is well identified and they supply an extra of each. 18 channel RC with 6 motors is a great value.

Works Great!
item was as described and easy to assemble. I used my own small pliers and screw driver as the screws and nuts are very small and hard to hold with my adult fingers. This is a good quality product.
