Is it "waterproof" to 300m? water resistant means i can take a shower with it and that's about it.

Waterproof is a term that is not usually used in the watch industry anymore. ( pusher and crown must be screwed in) Water resistance is the more common term. The meters or atmosphere is what gives you gauge of the resistance. The higher the number the more resistant the watch will be. In this case, this watch is 300 M witch means you can shower, swim and dive with this watch. (As long as the pushers and crown are screwed in. Hope this helps.
