I recently tried out this detangler for my daughter’s hair, and I have mixed feelings about it. On the positive side, this product is fantastic at detangling! It glides through knots and tangles effortlessly, making hair brushing a much smoother experience for both of us. My daughter’s hair feels soft and manageable afterward, which is a big win. However, I did notice that it leaves a bit of a sticky residue behind. While it’s not overly bothersome, it’s something to keep in mind if you're looking for a completely clean finish. Additionally, I must mention that this detangler surprisingly lightened my daughter’s hair from black to a medium brown. Initially, I wasn’t expecting any color change, but after several uses, the subtle shift in hue was noticeable. If you're looking for a product that can help detangle while also offering some lightening effects, this could be a great option. Just be prepared for a bit of stickiness!

My natural hair color is dark brown and after like 2 weeks of using it (without much sunlight exposure) I'm already seeing it a bit lighter! So far no damage so that's good. I'll update if anything changes but so far so great!

When this arrived, the cap on one bottle was loose and both bottles were messy and sticky. I usually use Sun In and have been using it since I was a teenager (I'm almost 40 now). I've used a few other brands here and there but Sun In is my go-to. I've found Sun In to be 'stronger' than the other more expensive brands from Ulta, etc in terms of how fast it works and how much it lightens Well...this stuff is much stronger than Sun In so GO EASY lol. I sprayed some then sat in the sun for a while and my hair kinda had a weird tint to it and was definitely lighter. After a few days the weird color went away. Given the quantity, price, and how strong it is, I'd say this is a great deal but you just have to be super careful to only use a little at a time. One other comment- I agree with the other reviews that said this product is sticky. I never had that issue with any other product but you will probably want to wash this out of your hair when you're done laying out. It also made my hair feel dry for a few days which I never had before either. I'm hoping that by using much less, the stickiness and dryness will go away.
