I used this to hold the rubber transmission gasket that came on my Dorman pan for installation on a 2014 Ford F150. The assembly lube (which I believe is a thick, sticky silicone fluid) worked super well to keep the gasket in place. But remember this goes on the side of the gasket that sits on the pan (NOT on the side that bolts to the transmission). You spread it between the bolt holes very lightly. A little goes a loooong way.
