This is one of the most popular trolling lures for king mackerel. Other species will also hit it as it mimics a lot of baitfish varieties.

Absolutely amazing lure. Although i haven't caught anything on it yet, watching it through the water is a thing of beauty. Moves just like a fish - give it that twitch and you're basically teasing the fishes.... Big single hooks on it, which I think is awesome. Fish tend to shake out treble hooks easier in my opinion so I welcome the single hooks. Because it's a big diver, I got snagged a couple times on rocks but have always manage to pull it away, another benefit of not using treble hooks.Edit: I did hook a giant of a Barracuda on it. Turns out it was the only fish I ever hooked on it as it cut the leader. I had swapped out the belly singles to trebles, which I do for all my Rapalas now. Only leave the single at the end.

I used this lure mainly for trolling and it outfished everything else. Nice action while trolling. Everything was well hooked except the needle fish. I used it for a bit casting in a surf fishing tournament but there were just no fish around. It is not a long casting lure, maybe 70-80 yds at best so the fish need to be in close. I will give it another shot in Mexico in August.
