I love Melissa and Doug toys. They are well made wooden toys that kids turn to again and again. I gifted this to my 1 year old grandson and a year later he still loves it. It has stood up to playground adventures, travel and other toddlers’ rough play.

I bought this for my sister's grandson and he absolutely loves it...she says it merits a 10.

My 2 year old absolutely loves this toy set! Melissa & Doug toys are generally very high quality, but this one takes the grand prize, in my opinion, in terms of visual appeal and fun. It's colorful and thoughtfully designed. For example, the carrier has grooves cut away for the wheels so the vehicles don't roll off. The helicopter rotors spin freely and are fun to twirl. I wanted to give my son this for months, but had to wait until Christmas. He loves car carriers, trucks, police cars, and fire engines, and it's even more special because he can say all the names of the vehicles in this set. (He just learned helicopter.) Separately, these vehicles are all cool on their own, but what if one toy had it all? This is that toy. Imagine it through the eyes of a toddler getting this as a gift. Never mind him. I'm 41 and I love it as a display item! Best of all, it's wooden (with some plastic parts for the wheels). Too many toys are plastic, and we want our son to have as many wooden toys as possible in his life. The wood is perhaps pine and not lacquered , in order to maintain a natural appearance. Because it's real wood, you may get some variation in the coloring of the pieces like I did. One more cool thing that my wife discovered -- the vehicles fit on the Ikea 300.643.59 LILLABO 20-Piece Basic Train Set and vice versa! The interoperability of the two sets is unexpected and makes us even happier. The Ikea train set is a fantastic value at $10. The M&D vehicles all fit through the tunnel too except the helicopter. I've included some photos with the Lillabo set. If you want a bigger toy, there's also the Melissa & Doug Mega Race-Car Carrier - Wooden Tractor and Trailer With 6 Unique Race Cars but we think the size of this carrier is perfect for a two year old. Sorry for the poor video quality. Amazon compressed it too much and it looks terrible.

Very cute, solid wooden cars, and carrier. My granddaughter loves playing with them.

Melissa and Doug toys are almost all very amazing quality, and this carrier is no exception. Bought for a one year-old and he is able to play with it without issue. Very fun and keeps him captivated for hours. Highly recommend.
