They can use all the same solvents. The main difference is water mixable oil paint cleans up with soap and water. **Q: Can this be used with acrylic paints also?** A: No it’s not made for Acrylics, just use water to thin out your paints. **Q: I know you can use it with water soluble oil paint but can you still use water to thin paint with this medium?** A: In my experience I only use either that gel or a water soluble medium and never water as a thinner.
