Safe to use
Gave this to my great nephew this weekend at his birthday party. As soon as he pulled the sword out, he said "Wow, this is the biggest sword I have seen. It must be a real Ninja sword"!! Safe to use but fun to play pretend with.

Nice sturdy toy for the boys. Can cause an ouch if they whack each other too hard but not seriously inflict damage :) Add the Sais swords and ninja costume and you got a ninja in da house :)

Long and sturdy
We had great fun weilding this sword around, even the adults enjoyed playing with it. It’s long and sturdy! A great addition to a costume!

Terrible!
One of my first bad experiences with amazon...this sword was PLASTIC!! I was so aggravated! Sent it back quickly and didn't look back. I have never had an experience like this. I have learned to dig harder into the reviews and read the fine print because if this bad experience!

Great fun..and a cultural lesson at the same time!
Bought this as a prop for a Halloween costume. Knew it would be used after that. We've also studied parts of Japanese culture because of it. Big hit with my son!!
