Its fine-tuning rotation allows precise control over cymbal swing tension, while its secure fit prevents rattling and unwanted movement, making it an essential upgrade for professional drummers seeking efficiency and reliability.

## Description

Review: These don't rattle, don't move on their own, and save time. - These are simply the best-designed cymbal wing-nuts for the price. These are lightweight, reliable, durable, and easy to use. I have not had any issues with them falling off, nor have I had any problems with them not fitting the (mostly standard) M8 threads atop my Yamaha booms. These also don't rattle, nor do they move themselves up or down on the threads while I am playing. After seeing "Standup for Drummers" by Fred Armisen I could not stop thinking about the aggregate amount of time I have spent spinning little wingnuts on the tops of cymbal stands, occasionally dropping them, and trying to figure out where they went on a dark stage over decades of drumming. Maybe it's just me, but I have never felt great about standing there spinning little wing-nuts when the clock is ticking during a changeover. I decided to finally order these, and have installed them on my show kit's four cymbal stands. Granted, because these are black, they would be harder to find on a dark stage when compared to a chrome wingnut, but I feel like I am less likely to drop the Tama nut because I already have a good grip on them when they come off the stand. (I think Tama also makes brightly-colored variants.) You might be thinking these are a waste of money because "how long does it really take to unscrew a few cymbals?" Consider that you take them off and put them back on two times each per show, and (depending on how many cymbals you have) it could be a couple of minutes on each end; those couple of extra minutes could be the difference between you dialing-in your monitor mix, or playing-through an extra section at sound-check! Metal wingnuts can also rattle, and can sometimes move up or down during play. These Tama nuts don't move, and -- if you want to adjust the tension of your stack, or adjust sound/movement of your cymbal -- you can push the buttons in and move the nut up/down, or you can just turn it like a regular wingnut for fine-tuning the tension. Just try these, and you won't want to go back to regular wingnuts.
Review: Worth it - Work well, way quicker and easier than traditional cymbal stand nuts

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth it

Work well, way quicker and easier than traditional cymbal stand nuts

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Product! (Pay attention to the inside diameter of the Quick Set)
*by M***2 on October 9, 2025*

Great product! They slip on/off quickly without issue and hold well when attached. I do have one older stand that has a slightly smaller diameter tilter assembly than the inside diameter of the Quick Set, and as a result the Quick Set does not work well with this stand; it barely grabs the threads of the smaller diameter tilter assembly and the Quick Set will fly off of the stand with an aggressive strike on the cymbal (I have a 10" splash on this stand). On that note, they are durable! I messed with the Quick Set on this stand for a while, trying to make it work before I gave up -- I launched the Quick Set across the room quite a few times during testing and the spring/clamp still works great! I am using that particular Quick Set on another stand. These work great, but pay attention to the inside diameter of the Quick Set as well as the outside diameter of your tilter assemblies to ensure a good fit.
