The knifes are sharp and beautiful! Wonderful set! Worth the money! Everyone that comes over to my home always gives me compliments! Perfect with my other rainbow kitchen!!! I am not a kitchen knife expert or a chef but for in the home they are perfect for the average joe. I have only hand washed them but they seem very durable.

So I think these are really cool looking knives, but to convince my husband to buy them I needed something that was dishwasher safe. If you are like me, I researched and looked and found that it's really not a good idea to put ANY knives in the dishwasher. My husband did not want to hear that. A friend of mine bought these and I just loved how they looked, when I asked where she got them she told me Amazon and that they said dishwasher safe. The price was right so I had my hubby on board and honestly, they have held up through about 6 months of use in the dishwasher. Many of our previous knife sets that were more costly had already started to rust or fall apart at this point, but these are holding up. I see some blemishes in the rainbow chrome of a few, but very miniscule and it really doesn't bother me, when I am used to knives that fall apart by now with using a dishwasher. I would highly recommend these to anyone who is not looking to break the bank and wants a nice set of DISHWASHER SAFE knives. The rainbow chrome look was just a bonus for me.

I was actually surprised by the quality of this knife set. Not only are they gorgeous; but they seem to be quite sharp. I have only used them a couple of times to date, but they cut just as well as any other knives I have had, and have not at all faded throughout their cycles in the dishwasher. I admittedly bought these with fairly low expectations -- telling myself that they were not too expensive, so if they weren't great, it would be no big deal. I am very pleasantly surprised. Also ... they sent me a courtesy (extra) pair of little kitchen scissors :) and a great touch.
