Child Development

I rented this book for my Developmental Psych class for only $20 while it retails for over $150!! I also think the text is really clear, and acts as a great supplementary material for the class. Came in 3 days in time for the second day of class. I am a very happy customer! :D

just what is show came super quick and is in pretty good quality

I used this textbook for my Childhood/Adolescent developmental psychology class that I took this past semester, and overall it was a pretty good book. I read the majority of this book, and pretty much every subject was well covered except for a few certain areas that my professor generally filled in extra notes for during lecture. The tone the author takes with this book is a nice breath of fresh air - instead of focusing on being completely formal in her writing, Berk tries to lighten up the mood by introducing personal anecdotes and other language that makes this subject more approachable. For the most part, when she does this, it succeeds. But I would almost have liked if she had used it more because certain parts of the book do seem to drag on (although this seems almost necessary with the pure amount of subject matter covered). This isn't the BEST textbook I've ever used, but it is certainly a very decent example of how to write an approachable and useful psychology textbook. 4 stars.

I needed this book for a college class I'm taking. It was cheaper than if I had bought it from the college.

Exactly what I needed for class. Very modern styled text, the vocabulary is not difficult. Glad I did not have to purchase the book and was able to rent it instead.

While it served its purpose in class, When the book arrived, the binding was loosely detached from the hardback cover. Who do I speak to about this?

I am using this book for my Developmental Psychology class in uni and I love it! It is easily understandable yet very informational. The shipping was very quick and I got it much earlier than I expected.

This book is very good! My class says it needs the Canadian edition but so far every chapter lines up with what she is teaching in class. An excellent book, and much cheaper than the university book store.

This book although it took a little longer to be delivered is very detailed and exceptional, I'm very happy with this purchase!
