I typically wear a size 4 or 6. These feel great and are short enough to wear under skirts and dresses when I'm riding my bike. I'm 6'4", 220 lbs, 37waist, 39 hips and the large fits me like second skin, which is what I wanted. The low cut leaves them snugly at my hips. The material is thin but silky smooth. They're well made for physical activity because they stretch, wick moisture and keep me cool and dry. They also provide firm support and hold themselves and my parts in place. I rated them 4/5 bacause, as mentioned in other reviews, the legs tend to ride up some. But, they are short to begin with, so it doesn't cause any discomfort or make that much of a difference.I'm too self concious to wear these in public without other shorts over top. However, I could see wearing them for the beach. The fit is secure enough for swimming and they have the same or more coverage than a Speedo.
