Melissa & Doug Art Essentials Artist Smock - One Size Fits All

This is an adorable smock that is easy to clean. It fits my 3.5 year old well. It can be adjusted via the Velcro straps on the sides or around the back. There are a few small pockets in the front for brushes, poms poms, any art supplies they want. My son has SPD and he hates anything around his neck but this smock has a wide enough neckline that it doesn't bother him which is a huge win for us! Very happy with our purchase so far. While it seems slightly overpriced for a plastic smock, the ease of cleaning and comfortable fit make it well worth it.

Melissa and Doug anything is cute! I am a huge fan of this brand and own so many Melissa and Doug products for my little. When I saw this smock I knew I had to purchase it. My daughter frequents a local paint your own pottery shop. This smock is perfect for pottery, painting and etc. This is easy to clean and you can personalize it with your child's name in the middle. The colors are vivid and cute as well. The smock fits well and she loves it. This is something that we will be using at least a few times a month. I am looking forward to this lasting. Such a cute design!

I bought each of the items below for my three children ages 5, 8 & 9 for Christmas. Melissa & Doug Deluxe Standing Easel Melissa & Doug Easel Accessory Set Melissa & Doug Easel Pad Bundle 50 Sheets 2-Pack Melissa & Doug Deluxe Easel Paper (3 pack bundle) Each of these items are very high quality, and I have recommended them to everyone I talk to about what to get their children for birthday/Christmas any gifting opportunity. The smock is able to fit all of my children, despite the wide age range. The easel has settings that are adjustable for different height settings, which is useful for those with younger children, when they grow, the easel can grow with them. My children were elated with this gift, and I will purchase Melissa & Doug products as often as possible, the quality is the best I've found among children's toys.

This smock was a good purchase, but it does seem a little big (as other reviewers have said). My son paints on the Melissa and Doug standing easel, which comes with several colored clips. My solution to the size of the smock was to take one of the clips and simply clip the back of the smock near the shoulders to keep it snug. Otherwise it does kind of fall of my son's shoulders and down his chest. He is a slightly above average sized 2-year-old. The material seems high quality and it's cute that you can personalize it on the front with his name. The velcro straps on the side are a bit confusing, but they keep it closed, which is fine.

For some reason my toddler has decided she needs to wear this all day when she goes to school for months. It's incredibly durable. The adjustments are great. She's only 27lbs , but tall for a 2 year old. It will fit for years I'm sure.

I like the smock, my child used it for school previously. Now that I have a second child going into preschool, I figured I buy the same smock. I requested overnight shipping on the 6th of September on Thursday and Now it is Monday September 10th 4 days later and still no smock. I ordered the same smock without the overnight shipping and I received that one within a day. I would love to get a refund for the shipping that never occurred, I am now hoping they send the smock before my child's art day tomorrow. I give it 1 star for customer service! I give it 1 star because my order was ignored even after paying for overnight shipping! I give it 1 star because now I need to waste money in getting a new smock locally even though this was the one I wanted for child. I am updating my review with a ***** Star rating because bottomline this is a great smock and the issue I had was with customer service and not with the product itself. The product is so great that I purchased it for both of my children. I purchased it for my daughter when she entered kindergarten and she used it until the beginning of second grade. My son used his for preschool. I wish it came in a larger size so that they may have used it from 2nd grade on continually. But we got a good use out of it and it is still standing. It is easy to wipe because of the plastic material on the exterior. It is easy to put on and adjust with the straps provided. I would say this is a great smock for children 4-7 years of age depending on the size of your child. I hope you found my updated review helpful.

I'm a fan of melissa & doug stuff for my son. Too bad my daughter didn't have these toys growing up. I bought my son an art easel for christmas and he's been having a blast painting and drawing. This is quality plastic or vinyl (or whatever) and the mess just wipes off. The pockets are a bit shallow and wide to keep large paint brushes in place, but I don't believe it matters (what painter keeps their brushes in their pockets anyway?) Just know that this is too big for a regular 3-4 year old that it kind of hangs beyond my son's shoulder on one side but I haven't noticed him being at all uncomfortable while using it.

Brightly colored. This is heavy and huge. Disappointed.

My kid uses this in Grade 1, it works as intended! Good quality!

Haven't given the smock to the grandkids as yet, but certainly looks like great quality with it's cute colors and useful pockets!

A jolly good product which does exactly what it is meant to do; it provides very good clothing protection and spaces for little people to store bits and pieces like chalks, crayons and brushes.
