Pleased with purchase

I ordered this pad/cover for a new mattress. In the past I went with one that the top was 100% cotton & of course it shrunk in the wash. This one being 50/50 I was very pleased that it did not shrink. That being said, this cover is very thin & I can't call it cushion-y at all. But it does what I wanted.. it covers my new queen mattress very well.

WOW! FIT MY WHOLE MATTRESS!!

VERY, VERY PLEASED with this mattress cover! It's the ONLY ONE I've been able to find that ACTUALLY FITS my entire mattress COMPLETELY, including along the sides over my 18"+ of gel mattress topper and pillow-top mattress, with even a little extra fabric to tuck in... and for only $25!! I initially hesitated buying this because of several negative reviews complaining about the fabric's "thinness" on top, but I found it perfect, and made so well it washes like a dream, without shrinking or the backing falling apart, like ALL my other more expensive, designer, and poor fitting mattress covers did!! It's certainly not stuffed with lots of cushioning on top because it's NOT MEANT as a substitute for a thick mattress-topper; not at only $25! It's made for protection, that's it, and surprisingly, I had a terrible time finding a simple, water-resistant mattress protector, that not only truly fit my ENTIRE mattress, including along the sides, but also didn't fall apart after a few washes, and didn't cost me $100, and this one is PERFECT, and I'm so glad I purchased it!!

Helps a bit.

The foam topper is so expensive that this was my only option. I tried the air mattress without using it and it was more miserable. So, although I don't think it offers enough padding to make the mattress comfortable, I do think it helps some.
