**Q: What material is this? I want to make sure I can paint it**
A: Not sure which material it is but I was not able to use paint pens on it. I tried and it wiped right off even after letting it dry for hours. I ended up using sharpies.

**Q: What is this product made from? Ceramic?**
A: The Axis Scientific Human Skull Model is made from PVC-based plastic.

**Q: is it cast from a female or male skull?**
A: I would say based on the zygomatic arch, no hook on the back, and gonile area it is probably female but I am not 100%. Other features such as the temporal lines (generally seen in Males) is present but that may be to study a feature and not because it is Male.
