The animal's picture is on the box, so you can put the animal in it's correct place (or not). My grand son will also line up the boxes. Then he has small cars that go in, or on, or drive on top of the boxes. He is 22 months and I saw him spend an hour an a half at this activity! Wow. He repeated two words - "door" since each box has an opening, and "in" since that's where he was putting the cars and animals. Well worth the money.
