Insten Rechargeable Battery Compatible with Sony PSP 1000 1001 High Capacity 1800mAh Battery Pack US (Not Compatible with PSP-2000 or 3000 or PSP Slim)

Works great in older PSP 1000. I ordered two batteries from different vendors/suppliers here on Amazon. This is the only battery that has not intermittently powered off the PSP despite having over half a charge. I have purchased batteries for other devices from eForCity and they have worked so far. eForCity is usually my first choice when I am looking for compatible batteries for our older devices.

This battery is miles ahead of the stock battery (1200mah) but not as good as Sony's 2200 MhA battery.if you have to replace the battery in your psp and whant a battery get this one and sony's 2200 one the external charger and you can run almost none stop .

This is a good replacement for the original battery, as it's very cheap and does the job. However, don't expect this to hold hours of battery life. The most I've got out of it was three hours of gameplay. That may seem like a lot, but I got over five hours on the original battery. Still, for such an old game system, as well as how cheap this battery is, it's wrong not to buy this.

I feel great about the value and quality of the products I received. I am most happy about the fact they were brand new and work perfectly. I will be returning to get more products from this website.

bought this to replace my aging old one that didnt hold a charge too well. thought i was gonna have a bad time using it since im running custom firmware on my psp, but to my surprise it worked just fine with zero problems!!

This is the fat battery if you wondering. The PSP battery door won't attach over this battery. So if your child can play it while holding the battery in place then it'll work. Otherwise choose the slim battery.

i had to jump this battery using a knife to touch the minus and positive side then it was finally able to charge. you have to peal it in half to see the two terminals. there is a youtube video out here

I bought this since the reviews for this battery were favorable at the time and my old sony psp battery had died to the point where it couldn't hold a charge and the price was not too bad. Too good to be true? Sadly this is the case, my new battery that I just ordered isnt much better than my dead battery. Instead of holding a charge for a minute like my previous battery which is dead, this battery died after 20 minutes of me playing a ps1 game. Definitely buy another battery unless you want to be back on amazon browsing for psp batteries again.

This battery is smaller than the original PSP 1000 battery, but it was perfect for me. I dropped my PSP long time ago and part of the frame broke that used to hold the original PSP battery. Anyway, when I got this battery I had the surprise that it didn't fit on a PSP 1000 so I had to cut one of the bottom flaps and it fitted tight enough that finally my PSP is portable again.

It works, but it's thicker than the original battery. I suppose that's my fault for not checking. It fits with the case I have on my PSP, but I can't put the door on. Can't tell how long it'll last though.

Had an original PSP sitting in a drawer, long since abandoned. Decided to give it a new life with my 7 year old nephew, but needed to replace the battery. This replacement was a perfect fit, holds a charge well, and was well priced!

This battery is NOT compatible with the PSP-1000, when compared to the original battery the contacts do not extend downward enough to make contact with the connector. If you press the battery against the case, it will work, but as soon as you let go the battery is disconnected from the circuit. DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE AN ORIGINAL PSP.
