XDT11Z 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Impact Driver, Tool Only

This is the second drill I have purchased for my husband in the last several months. He trust the brand to always deliver a quality product at a great price and this was no exception. If required we will purchase this drill the next time as well. My husband says it is a very reliable and dependable product that performs well.

Just as I expected

The zen pack works really great. I have two of them and they broke how to get another one way cheaper than home Depot home Depot rapes you on the price $150 for this and I only had to pay $98 through Amazon. Way cheaper. Same product if I went to home Depot

This impact gun is a beast and the low profile means that you can get it in many places that the larger ones can’t. This easily takes off lug nuts and other large bolts such as those on brake calipers and suspension components. It doesn’t have the torque to release crank bolts or CV axle nuts - for that you’ll need to look at the higher torque models. But for its size - it’s excellent.

Sometime around the pandemic I bought a Makita grass cutter which came with two batteries and the charger. Since then I vowed that the next tool I buy will be Makita since I already have the batteries and charger. The impact driver seems to work as expected. I haven’t used the hand tool yet in a practical setting as I don’t need to as yet but will within the next few months. The light is very bright- brighter than expected. I can compare it to Total as I’ve used that driver to remove screws on a drawer. The light stays on longer than the total tool and is brighter than the total tool. They’re different price points so you get a little more with Makita compared to a more economical brand like total. I noticed that the driver feels heavier than the battery that I have.

Seems to be a good buy, durability will not be known for a while

I have compared my brushless version to this one and the torque is noticeably different. I bought a second one for a spare. It will snap a 1/4" bolt. The only thing I don't like about my original is the rubber guards around the driver keep peeling loose. I've had to glue them back and in some case I just cut them off out of frustration. I have beat the dog out of this drill and it still has the power of day 1.
