Crescent 25 Piece 3/8" Drive Pass-Thru X6 Standard Spline Mechanics Tool Set - CX6PT25

This Crescent 25 piece 3/8" Drive Pass-Thru socket set is just what I needed to complete a transmission fluid change (pan removal) on my vehicle. The low profile was perfect for the very confined space I had to work in. The 1/4" bit socket was perfect for holding a 1/4" T40 Torx bit and it got me out of a jam. I always wanted a pass-thru set and this one checked the boxes. Pleased with the quality, especially for the price point. The (black) finish seems nice. The description stated that it is "painted". It looks more like black chrome to me. Pleased with the purchase. A nice find.

Good all around no complaints was nice getting to some hard to reach nuts

This is a great set of sockets that allow you to use a the included socket wrench with very long bolts, a frequent need in my work. The only thing I don't like about the set is that the holders for the two different sets of sockets (metric and inches) barely hold the sockets so when I put them in a tool box, they fall out and get all mixed together. They are far easier to remove from the holders than those metal holders using spring steel but I prefer to keep them organized so would prefer a more firm holding mechanism for the loose sockets. But this is not a critique of the tool's functionality, which is excellent.

8/13/24 edit: I used the 7/16 on the garage torsion springs screws. The ratchet worked like a champ. Was probably a little too heavy for M12 bolts with adapter, but held strong on 3/8 items. These tools were put to the test today. The black paint quickly fades/chips and the adapter-sockets come out when there's a little too much pressure applied. The wrench itself isn't all that heavy, but the ratchet and adapter kept up with a M12 Triple Square bolt. I am giving this a solid 4 stars. Only thing missing is for the sockets to stay in place during action. To be fair, they are pass-through sockets.

Have used this set on so many things. I never knew how handy a pass-thru would be until I got it. Durable and handy.

Great for tight spots. I use it to get an Allen wrench on top of struts and also have a ratchet. I like this tool

Wow, for the price I am amazed at the quality and finish of these tools, super good feel as well as being nice and heavy, they work great on bmw tie rods, and anything else that requires a through bolt.

Tut was es soll und sollte in jedem Werkzeugschrank liegen.Eine Halterung der Nüsse sollte allerdings standardmäßig dabei sein. Klare Kaufempfehlung.
