TENSION ON FISHING LINE WHEN LOADING REEL
I asked this question and posted it on Amazon before I bought this product. "Can I put 6-8 lbs of tension on the line when loading it to my reel?" All the people who responded said YES! I'm here to tell you that the real answer is NO! I can't even put 1 lb of tension on the line with this thing. In addition, this tool is made of very soft steel so when tightening down the wing nuts, they leave deep pits in the shaft. The springs do not add any noticeable tension to the line. I wasted my money because people in this community are eager to answer questions for potential buyers even when they do not know the answer themselves. I wasted my money and this thing is not even worth the cost of shipping it back. I'll never trust the answers I get on this site again.

Meh works simple
Simple design but it works. Clamps to my work bench table door etc. Spring loaded clamps and cones to put tension on your bulk line spool. Only downfall is thats how tension is put on so itll squeak squeal etc as the spool will be spinning while the comes and springs stay still. Oh well works and was cheap. Might try the Penn spooling station later for my bigger game stuff

Danger. Metal shavings everywhere.
1. Product created thousands of metal shavings everywhere. Some of it got into my braid fishing line and ruined 100 yards of line. When it rotates the springs dig into the aluminum bar and shavings fly everywhere. Having a toddler crawl around my living room you can only imagine the dangers. I vacuumed everything before anyone got hurt.2. Insufficient pressure on the spool to create a tight spool on the reel as stated by other reviewer.

Side vs front wind
If you want to eliminate twisted line with this device. ...simply spool your line from the front of the unit and not from the side. Get close so that it does not catch the thumb screw.

Save your money, Get a friend to help
A pen or pencil through the spool held by a second person would get better results.

Just ok..
Worked great for awhile until the arm broke off from clamp...

Just do it the old fashioned way
Just line your reel the old fashioned way and save a few bucks. I did not find using this was any better than just putting the spool on the floor. But to each their own I guess.
