Lindy Drift Control Fisherman Series Drift Sock

Doesn't really slow my drift down too much on my kayak in coastal waters. Fish can become tangled in it as you bring them up. Lately I've been better off using an anchor or tying off to a trap pot float. I used it next to a buddy both in kayaks and we were drifting the same.

Easy to put away and does the job.

I used this in a kayak. When I didn't want to drift fast, I just tossed it over the side of my kayak, and when I wanted to get going, I just pulled it up and slipped it under the bowlines. It worked really well and I'm happy with this choice. I bought the smallest one and it slowed me down enough to fish the shoreline. Great buy, love that it packs down small and I can haul it in my kayak without any problem.

Did it's job and is not heavy at all. Still in great condition.

Well made, bought the small one for my 10 ft kayak, for fishing. Used to fish in a row boat and used a big sock...it was always in use...as will be this one.

This thing looks well made, of a rubber like nylon. Bought it because my Minn Kota sock got ruined in the back of my pickup, not sure how, but it was shredded to pieces. This doesn't seem like it could happen to this Lindy sock, as it is constructed of what appears to be much more durable material.

This is a well built drift sock, that deploys quickly by itself. The only thing I would change for kayak fishing is the relief hole in the back side could be smaller to have more drag, but it works great and is a lifesaver for fishing in strong winds.

I am very happy with this product. I bought the 18" for my fishing SUP because I don't need anything bigger. From photos on the package and on the ad I thought it came with a dump strap but it did not.

Good product. Works well on my kayak. Not as shown. Does not have dump strap (yellow in picture) shown in picture. Was simple to add one though.
