The ability to detach the cord from the powercube make it that much more packable and versatile. However, it suffers from the same shortcomings as the original. Namely, you lose the use of one outlet unless you are willing to accept your cords to plug in looking like a toy metal jack.

I love this little cube! I absolutely hated seeing wires all over and the power strips didn't work for me anymore - both aesthetically and for the limited counter space I have. When I saw this Powercube, I had to buy it. It works perfectly! I wish all the colors were around the same price though. I would buy 5 more! Highly recommend the 1500 watt cube!

It is an ingenious plug but it didn't quite work for me. It stuck out too far from the wall for where I was using it.

Extension cord attached to this item, mine box does not plug directly into a power outlet, it has a long bulky cord that was not described prior to purchase.

Easy to use no long Cords in the way. Love the different colors. Don’t take up a lot of space. Good Product for the Money. Just plug it into the Wall.

Do yourself a favor and buy a couple. You’ll be glad you did. It’s so convenient and small. I have my laptop charger, table lamp, and phone charger all hooked in one now!

Disappointed it had no USB port as it claims you can charge a cell with it. Must mount a power block to it. Don’t understand about the child safety aspect as it’s a cube w 5 ordinary outlets. Like that it is compact so if your out camping take a power block otherwise most hotels have USB ports available now. As far as surge protector it has no flip switch may have to pull from outlet and plug back in, the instructions are not clear about it.
