Great hairspray. Works well

I have been using this RUSK hairspray for years. I do not like heavy hairspray and I certainly do not want to have a helmet head with very stiff hairspray. I use very little and this is perfect for me.

I've used this product for over a decade and have never found a nicer spray. The hold is excellent but very light and touchable. I can't stand crusty hair and I'm a minimalist when in comes to cosmetics, perfumes, ingredients, etc. I try hard not to use aerosols but find that this fine mist spritzed on in light spurts is perfect to hold down my strays or blended in bangs in an updo and you'd NEVER know it's there. Remarkable.

Light weight hairspray. I use it daily.

First, let me mention my hair. My lifeless, extremely thin, baby fine, absolutely straight hair. Dealt with it my entire life. Have probably used a thousand different sprays in those decades trying to find one that would hold and not weight it down. You know the kind - even sprays that are guaranteed to "freeze" your hair in place just make it fall in your eyes. Tried expensive stuff, tried cheap stuff, you name it. This is by far the best hairspray. Light enough to hold and keep it fairly fluffy without weight. Obviously, Rusk knows they have a problematic dispenser. It's been going on for years since I started using this product. So buy it, but know that you will at most get a half can out of it. Here's what I have found helps a little: each time I put it back in the cabinet, I turn it upside down. The next time it goes in, it goes right-side up. Next time, back to upside down. Keep that rotation going and it can help. Also, DON'T shake the can, that seems to really mess things up sooner. I also suggest we start buying it from places that has an excellent return policy, and start returning these half-filled containers. If Rusk gets enough of them back, or compliants from their buyers, perhaps they'll actually address this issue. Otherwise, buy it if you love, and just know that the price is actually twice what it is marked because you can only use about half of it.
