Zilactin Cold Sore Gel, Medicated Gel 0.25 oz ( Pack of 2)

If you are one of the luck people, like me, who are plagued by fever blisters you will love this product. As soon as you feel that little itch on your lip when a blister begins to form, us Zilactin Gel right away. For me that will stop it before it forms. If I wait until the next day to treat it, the blister has already formed, but it will seal it off and the blister will begin to go away. It will take it a few day to completely go away then, but it will heal much sooner than with other meds for fever blisters. Just keep it covered with Zilactin until it is healed. Best product I have ever found for fever blisters. Works for me, good luck to all of you.

Product works as advertised. We have been using it for years.

I think I found the best treatment after trying what seems like everything on the Amazon best seller list for cold sores (excluding the infrared lights). If your everyday recommendations like Lysine supplements and Abreeva doesn't work; Campho Phenique and Mederma patches makes it worse, then this might help you! I found using Releev and then adding Zilactin over it makes a big difference. I try reapplying every couple of hours but the Zilactin locks it in pretty good. Now it doesn't work miracles, but it helps prevent big huge blisters all around my mouth. Quantum SuperLysine ointment comes in handy when it gets too dried out.

I have not had a fever blister in over 5 years after first using zilactin. I keep a tube in my pocket and in my vehicle. IF you put it on when you first get a tingle, there is never a sore and never a scab. It literally stops and heals in one or two applications. Love this stuff. NOTE: It burns like crazy if there is the slightest hint of a blister starting, but that is how I know I was right when I feel a tingle. If it doesn't burn, there wasn't a blister starting. :) Seriously, this is a miracle for those who get those large fever blisters 2-5 times per year like I did. No more embarassment!

This stuff is absolute gold. I got a lower lip full and I mean full of cold sores that encompassed the whole lip. There was absolutely nothing that made it feel better. I went through six tubes of Abreva and there was no relief. On my first night of using this it stung but already felt better. Over the next three days it dried out the cold sores to where they were absolutely bearable and on the fifth day they are almost gone I never used anything this good it's awesome 10 Stars!!!

I have been using this product for years and it is the only thing I have found that will stop a fever blister from forming. As soon as I feel the "tingle" that tells me a blister is starting to form, I apply this product and it immediately stops the formation of the blister. Even if I don't catch it in the formation stage, once I have a fever blister, this product stops the pain immediately and dries the blister up. No more unsightly sores on my mouth or bleeding scabs. Wish I had known about this (or maybe it wasn't even available) when I was growing up, then all my school pictures would not have shown my fat lip from my constant fever blisters.

I first tried this product several years ago. When a good friend was visiting and miserable with a cold sore, I gave her mine thinking I could replace without any problem. Hard to find locally and glad Amazon could provide. I tried other products but can attest that neither myself nor my friend in neighboring city have found nothing better. Worth searching for.
