The hat is adjustable around the forehead and the flap that covers your neck can be folded and put inside the hat which is a very nice option for different weather conditions.

An otherwise OK hat. The hat basically fits and seems to provide "X" SPF against the sun [I obviously have no way of measuring the SPF protection]. The back neck covering flap could be about 1" to 1-1/2" longer. Unfortunately, after using it only about 5 times, and on the day that my return eligibility expired [1-31-21 - couldn't return it "used" anyway] the strap toggle fastener became useless - it did not hold the strap firmly under my chin. Don't know if the spring or plastic inside the toggle broke or something. Hence, with the loose neck strap, the hat blew off in a gust of wind. The hat coming off will also be a problem if you bend down, or happen to be walking thru some brush or overhanging branches, etc. Since the hat will not reliably/consistently protect you from the sun if it doesn't stay on your head, I give it only 3 stars, including the toggle quality. Poor quality in the toggle fastener, but it is something I have come to EXPECT from products from this third world country.

My experiences with sunhats are mixed. Either they are too big or they are too small and no longer fit my head after a few washes. Because of the material, I can't imagine that this hat will shrink. But I will say hand washing is probably the best method. Really great coverage to block the sun. As far as covering the vents on the side of the sunhat goes, you can just use the extended neck coverage protector sheet and tuck it inwards and that does the trick. The only thing I will say is if the locking ball was a bit tighter, this would have been perfect.

I've tried many different sun hats due to fact that I work outside. This is the best sized hat I have found. The brim is not too large and not too small. I work on roads in traffic and have had hats that the brim was too wide and blocked my view which I do not want because I want to keep an eye on vehicles. Other hats I've tried had too small a brim and did not block the sun sufficiently for me. I will purchase this product again.

The brim is wide enough to provide protection in most situations. The flap & cord tuck away nicely and untuck quickly. Good ventilation. Washable, dries quickly.
