## Description

Product Description This tool tower maximizes available space while still being slim enough to not take up a lot of space. It holds up to 40 tools. It has a molded-in weed trimmer and electric cord holder. Casters make for simple mobility. It is easy to assemble and will not rust, dent, rot or peel. desertcart.com Store and organize over 36 tools for easy access and more floor space with this garden tool rack organizer from Rubbermaid. The tool tower stores rakes, brooms, snow shovels, and gas-powered weed eaters for easy access and more floor space in the garage or shed. Front clips allow head-down storage of spades and brooms to simplify access and so that the rack doesn't get top heavy. The clips also enable easy slide-in storage from the side, rather than having to come in from above and sliding the handle into the slot. Four castors mean easy transport of all those tools from one place to another--a feature that makes it easy to relocate all those tools in one easy move, rather than 36 moves. Two of the casters lock to keep the unit in place. The base of the tower has a grid pattern to keep tools from sliding off. --Brian D. Olson Brand Story By

Review: Christmas gift for family member with messy garage - My brother is one of those people that seems to already have everything you needs. So it took me a while looking around his house to come up with something that he could actually use. After walking through his garage and Almost taking a “header” on all of the brooms, shovels, tool, etc. scattered on the floor in front of the wall that was supposed to be their home—- I had found the gift for him. 😏 Pros— contrary to what other people have said, I found it to be sturdy with lots of room to hold the things it’s designed for. Yes it’s made out of plastic. So yes it has the potential of collapsing if used improperly. But if the user has some “Common Sense“ the key is to balance the load. Of course it’s going to collapse if you put 15 heavy shovels on one side. It assembles in about a minute and a half and the wheels do you let you roll it around to different locations as long as you Take it slow and don’t try to run races with it. I was initially concerned about the curved front legs. But besides being fashionable, this actually works well if you follow the directions and put the right type of tool in the right area. Lastly, when choosing this item I specifically looked for the height between the bottom shelf and the top support. This one has enough height to support tools with long handles. If someone were to purchase the other ones that are very short, the tools would fall out because they all be top-heavy. Cons- I can’t think of anything for the product itself. But I do have one suggestion for the desertcart people. It seems that anytime you buy anything that requires assembly, desertcart automatically sends out a offer to have someone come out and assemble it. I found that extremely funny for this particular item. It literally presses together with no tools in about a minute and a half. However they did give me the choice to pay approximately $200 for someone to come out and assemble it for me. Perhaps this product should be taken off of the “send an assembly offer“ email list. Let’s face it… Anyone that can’t figure out how to put this together has no business owning tools in the first place. 🙄
Review: Generously sized, 2-tiered rack; ez assembly, sturdy + holds many tools (over 20 so far) - This review is for the large, rectangular Deluxe Tower (not the Corner Tower) I'm very happy to have found this tower-rack for long-handled tools and equipment. I was looking for something to help organize all of my household mops, brooms, and various types of squeegees, scrub brushes, dusters and other long-handled items that just wouldn't fit in my tiny broom closet and were either cluttering up my kitchen or getting lost out in the garage. I found several pricey steel options before I ran across this far more affordable version made by Rubbermaid. I have been purchasing Rubbermaid products for many years, so I didn't hesitate to order this rack. It arrived very quickly and just as promised, was very easy to put together. It only took a couple of minutes, and I didn't even need any tools. Even though it is made of plastic it is not flimsy in the least. Right now it is holding over 20 assorted tools right now + a couple of those very heavy steel dust-pans and there is room for quite a few more. There is also space for my mop bucket on the floor. All of these implements are light-weight so the unit very stable and rolls easily. I am sure I would need to load it with more attention to spacing and balance if I was storing heavy shovels and rakes and such in the garage or work shed but it seems as if would be great to use in that capacity as well. I am keeping this one on my enclosed back porch so I can access anything I need with no hassle. I think it is definitely worth the modest price.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is is sturdy without tools falling over?**
A: I have at least 50 tools in this caddy including a sledge hammer with many other various tools that would destroy my car. I park my BMW a foot from the stand every day and I have tested it like an earthquake would and it is perfect! I would never park my bmw near it if I were scared of it falling over. Difficult to believe how sturdy it is sometimes.

**Q: for outdoor?**
A: Technically it could be. All its parts are plastic but keep in mind the bottom part of the stand would kind of become a reservoir if it rains on it. I keep mine at the edge of the garage for easy access. If you keep it outside maybe under the roof overhang it would be just fine. Hope this helps.

**Q: What are the dimensions?**
A: Deluxe Tool Tower™: (#5E28) Size: 20.5" D x 38" W x 34.4" H From Rubbermaid Home Product website. This info apprears accurate from my experience.

**Q: What about the clearance needed to get tools out that are stored in the holes? Any issues with ceiling heights when getting tools out?**
A: Yes, I would recommend having a minimum clearance of your longest tool/rake/etc plus about 10 inches when taking the item out of the rack. I would not recommend it storing large/long tools in an area with a low to normal 7-8ft ceiling (run the risk of hitting the ceiling occasionally). I personally have mine in the basement with a 10ft clearance. It would also work well in some of the pre-fab tool sheds that have a high ceiling. Hope this helps.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty decent, but limited
*by J***. on August 24, 2016*

This product is really decent. Easy to put together, sturdy, and moveable to clean debris and lawn mess that gather around. The only concern would be that while it may be built to support "X" number of tools, it is really difficult to find the right positions for tools if you have quite a few. I just have your basic lawn care equipment, edger, brooms, etc., and I think I have maxed out my unit with about 22 tools. The openings are varied in size so some items will not fit in certain locations, and then placing one item in a certain way may "block" another opening or make it difficult to lift items out of the unit. For example, the handle coming out of the top or a rake or edger arching over the unit may block other openings from being able to be used. Or, a large shovel or rake laying on the base me block a tool from being able to "rest" on the bottom. Certain tools because of their weight will need to lay in certain directions. For example an edger most likely needs to be "engine side down" due to the weight, but this causes the cutting wheel end to need to curve toward the center of the unit, blocking space for other tools slots. I personally love the unit and it works just right for my needs. Just keep in mind that certain tools may need to go in certain places or lay in certain ways. It will take some arranging to get it right, but having all 9 rakes and shovels lined up in the front makes it so easy to get to without having to move things out of the way to get to the tool you need. Makes things look neat and tidy.
