Great product!
Great accessory. I love my Elinchrom modifiers, however they are expensive. I wanted the opportunity to use my BRX500 and have a range of options with the Bowen line of modifiers as well. This mount is great; it locks in place. It does require a bit of torque to snap the Elinchrom side mount into the Elinchrom modifier. Again, great product.

Works well and worth the money
Originally, I had purchased a similarly designed adapter from the US importer of Elinchrom and Phottix, thinking that it would work the best. Wrong! No matter how hard I tried, the Elinchrom Rotolux Octo wouldn't fit into the ring so I could mount it on my Phottix Indra. (I have both the Phottix Indra and Elinchrom ELB400 systems.) I found this adapter ring on Amazon and ordered it to be delivered to a shoot I had in Miami. It arrived several days earlier than promised, though coming all the way from China! It works whereas the Phottix branded one did not. My only reservation, and the reason I gave it 4-stars rather than 5, is because you don't really feel confident that it has locked into place securely. It has, or so it seems, but there is no real feedback to assure that, though there is a lock-release.

Does not fit
I have tried, with absolutely no success, to attach these to my Rotalux. One reviewer said to move the fabric, but that did't work either. The inner ring on the adapter is too far recessed into the unit which inhibits it from turning and locking into place once it is placed on the elinchrom. I will have to return this item.

Not a fan...but works...
I don’t recommend this product. It does what it claims and is made of good materials. However, it places your flash head too far back in the modifier as you add about an inch or more distance between you flash and the inside of your modifier. If there are no native mounts for your flash and you must have a Bowens to Elinchrom adapter, this does the trick. However, it’s difficult to lock the modifier into the adapter. I believe over time this could overly stress your modifier as you try to twist it to lock into place. I have now gone a different direction and purchased a Godox - Elinchrom native adapter for my AD400 Pro. Much better setup!!

The adapter is well made and mounts securely. However ...
The adapter is well made and mounts securely. However the neck is longer than necessary, therefore the centre of the flashtube will be sitting a tad too deep and not in the center of the reflector, therefore a lot of energy will be hitting the adapter's inside but not the reflective surface of the Elinchrom reflector. It's usable but you just won't get the most out of the light's output. Hope the manufacturer can improve the design down the road.

Great quality
I got this so I could use my Elinchom soft boxes with my new aputure amaran. Great quality and now adds more affordable options

Works well, took some breaking in
It was a very tight fit at first, but after taking it on and off a few times, it seems to have broken in and works great. I've used it with a 48" Elinchrom octabox with no issues.

Engineer knowingly introduced a terribly flawed design
To create an adapter that would universally attach to any strobe with a Bowens mount, this flawed design uses a speedring collar that is much longer than it should be. This causes the entire lateral portion of the flashtube to be blocked once mounted into an Elinchrom light modifier. They could have easily used a simple and inexpensive telescoping tube design to allow the end user to manually adjust collar depth. In addition to that, the throat should be reflective, just as it is on every other speedring throat in existence.
