The paper is thick and smooth, perfect for pencils, ink, and light paints. The hardcover gives good support when sketching, and the spiral binding makes it easy to flip pages. Excellent quality and ideal for both beginners and experienced artists.

Good quality, A4 size as advertised, and really good value for money. Item is a gift so can only comment on these attributes. But was exactly how I expected it to be and the paper feels lovely and thick.

Bought for my granddaughter for Christmas. Great drawing pad

I was expecting perforations aling the side of the page but only the holes for the ring binding are present. Not a deal breaker. The paper is a good weight and has virtually no tooth ie smooth. It stands upto a fair amount of blending and erasing. I have used the first two pages so far for charcoal. Both pages are damaged with grease spots which hold the charcoal. Disappointing. I hope this is just a result of someone putting their fingers on the first couple of pages and later pages will be clean. The colour is off white and the cover and binding are quality. The paper withstands being removed from the pad really well. Nice pad for dry media using minimal layering. As it has no texture a smooth effect can be produced eg still water. Overall for thebprice it was a good buy. It loses one star because of the grease spots.

Good quality for school

This A5 sketchbook has been my loyal companion through bold artistic visions and even bolder stick figures. It’s the perfect size: small enough to fit in a bag, yet large enough to capture my greatest ideas before I forget them 12 seconds later. The paper is smooth, thick, and clearly more professional than I am. It patiently accepts pencil, pen, and the emotional weight of unfinished masterpieces. No bleed-through, no judgment—just quiet support as I confidently draw something amazing and then immediately ruin it. I’ve used it for sketches, doodles, deep thoughts, grocery lists, and one very dramatic attempt at realism that looks like a haunted potato. The binding has held strong despite me flipping pages like I’m in a dramatic art montage. Highly recommend this sketchbook for artists of all levels—especially beginners, procrastinators, and people who just like owning art supplies because it feels productive. Would absolutely buy again once I finish the remaining 95% of blank pages.

Ich habe das String & Space Sketchbook A4 nun seit einigen Wochen im Einsatz und bin insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Die Qualität des Papiers und der Verarbeitung hebt sich deutlich von günstigeren Alternativen ab. Vorteile: • Sehr starkes Papier (200gsm): Ich nutze sowohl Bleistift, Fineliner als auch gelegentlich Aquarellmarker – das Papier hält allem stand, ohne durchzubluten oder sich zu wellen. Gerade bei alkoholbasierten Markern schätzen viele Nutzer (und ich ebenso), dass die Rückseite trotzdem nutzbar bleibt. • Stabile Spiralbindung: Die Seiten lassen sich problemlos umblättern und flach aufklappen, was besonders beim Arbeiten auf dem Tisch praktisch ist. Auch nach mehrmaligem Umblättern wirkt nichts ausgeleiert. • Format und Seitenanzahl: Mit 40 Blatt (80 Seiten) bietet es genug Raum für Studien, Skizzenreihen und ausgearbeitete Zeichnungen. Das A4-Format ist dabei eine gute Wahl für unterwegs und zuhause. • Angenehme Textur: Die Papieroberfläche ist leicht rau, was gut für Bleistift- und Kohlezeichnungen ist. Die Struktur gibt Kontrolle und verhindert ein zu glattes Abrutschen. Nachteile: • Relativ hohes Gewicht: Durch das dicke Papier ist das Buch spürbar schwerer als andere Skizzenbücher. Wer viel unterwegs skizziert, sollte das einkalkulieren. • Deckblatt löst sich leicht: Einige Kunden berichten – und ich kann das bestätigen –, dass sich das Deckblatt mit der Zeit etwas vom Rest des Buches löst oder sich wölbt, was aber eher optisch stört. Fazit: Für den Preis (etwas unter 13 €) ist das Sketchbook ein echter Tipp für Hobbykünstler und Fortgeschrittene. Wer auf Papierqualität und stabile Bindung Wert legt, wird hier definitiv glücklich. Wer jedoch ein besonders leichtes Skizzenbuch für den mobilen Einsatz sucht, sollte auf das Gewicht achten. Auch viele andere Käufer loben insbesondere die Papierstärke – ein zentrales Verkaufsargument, das ich nur unterstreichen kann.
