Owl Pellet

My son finally got around to dissecting his owl pellet and he was not disappointed! He enjoyed every minute of it. He kept saying this is awesome! I bought this item for educational purposes but it also gave my son something else to do besides using his electronics. I am not sure if all pellets are like this but I can only assume it various. In the pellet he found three skulls, two of them looked more complete than the other one. There were a lot of bones: some vertebrae, a tooth, pieces of skull and several other bones we are unsure of. None of these bones were synthetic as others have stated. I wouldn’t expect this many bones in the pellet every time I order one. It’s unrealistic because no one has control of what the owl eats. I guess we got lucky.

The pellet was much smaller than the ones I've seen in schools, and the tools were loose in the shipping envelope, not attached to the package

I actually bought this for myself , an adult. I remembered dissecting these as a kid. Good quality and great price. Lots of cool bones and little skulls to find! The guide shows you what kind of critter bones you may find and it has pictures of them which are very helpful

This Owl Pellet has to be one of my all time favorite items I have bought on Amazon. It came with tools and the pellet. I did bring in my own tweezers and some gloves (though it was sterilized). Dissecting this was one of our very favorite projects of our homeschool year. My 7 year old and I spent about 2 hours painstakingly exploring the pellet and reassembling the skeleton inside. Super fun project! I highly recommend this.

My child was sick during owl pellet day at school This was a great stocking stuffer to make up for what he missed. I don't know how to judge owl puke in general, but it had the bones and a small chart to help him identify the different parts. Came quickly and worked just like you would think it would....Ours looked different than the package shown, but I did not have an issue with it.
