This Stabila set is a wonderful level set for everyone. I am in the contracting business and use these on a daily basis. I have found that they are very accurate and very durable. They have been used on dozens of jobs and have not failed me yet. I used to use Empire, typically what you find at Home Depot, and find that these beat those levels in a variety of ways. The Stabila level is sturdy without being too heavy. Many other levels are either made of cheap plastic (which break easily or aren't accurate) or are very robust being made of steel and plastic combined. The main issue with other levels is that the sturdy ones are typically quite heavy and clunky. This set includes three different levels which all prove to be very useful. We bring all three to each job as you need the torpedo in small areas and four foot level works great leveling and plumbing surfaces. All in all, this set is well worth the "premium" that some people would say you have to pay. I believe you get what you pay for in this situation... Quality, Accuracy, and Durability

I own several other Stabilia levels and they are still straight and true after 15 years.

I agree with the other reviewers that this is a well-made, precision tool. It feels solid, and the markings on the vials are fine and crisp, making for unambiguous reads. My only (minor) complaint is this: the edges of the reading surfaces, though nicely machined, do not come to a sharp right angle at the edges. They roll off from the machined surface to the body of the level. This makes it problematic to scribe a single, unwavering line along the edge from one end to the other. I wish just one of the level's edges had been machined dead square to make such marking pretty much foolproof. Like I say: a minor complaint.

It’s sturdy and a good price

This is the bigger level, small enough to keep around, more accurate for when that counts, but not on person;
